Goddess Herbal Bath
Whether submerged in a forest-nestled hot spring, floating on the surface of a high mountain lake, or luxuriating in the warm lapping ocean, water is an essential element for physical and emotional well-being. The ancient restorative power that water offers can be transformative, and sometimes this simple pleasure is the perfect medicine for whatever ails us.
Indulge in a bathing ritual fit for a Goddess. The sensuous comfort of water connects us back to both our bodies and the Earth’s beauty, taking a little time for yourself to worship and nourish your inner god or goddess. This unique herbal creation inspires sensuality and quiet confidence lifting your mind to a higher plane.
Lavender, chamomile and rose petals make wonderful bath herbs. One of my favorite preparations to make is an herbal bath tea with rose petals and calendula flowers that I harvested and dried from the summer garden. Drape a drawstring mesh bag filled with the flower blend over the faucet and let hot water run through it. Once the tub is full, I toss the tied bag into the water and swish it around for a strong herbal infusion.
The ritual: add about ¼ cup to your bath just prior to entering,
Ingredients: milky oat tops, cornflower petals, lavender buds, chamomile, rose petals, hibiscus, calendula
